Handball is a type of sport invented at the end of the XIX century in the Netherlands. In a very short time, the handball has spread all over the world as an exciting and emotional kind of sport.

Each team consists of seven players. 

A standard match has two 30-minute halves with a 10- to the 15-minute halftime break. In the early stages, handball was played in large stadiums by eleven people in each team. After the 1950s, handball became less popular and turned into an indoor sport. 

Currently, Handball is mainly popular in European countries.
