Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net.

It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Although volleyball is not as popular as football, it still has more rooters compared to handball, ice hockey, and rugby.

A volleyball court is 9 m x 18 m,  divided into equal square halves by a net with a width of one metre. Each player rotates only one time after the team gains possession of the serve. The main goal in the volleyball played over 5 sets, is to throw the ball out of the net and send it to the opponent's pitch, or to make the ball fall to the opponent's edge and thus earn points. The game continues with the first team to score 25 points by a two-point margin awarded the set.
