More than 160 ethnic groups live in Russia.
The rococo style in the architecture is widespread. The Winter Palace, the San-Bazil Cathedral and the Red Square are the places where most tourists come.

Sports: Russia, for the first time, as an independent state, participated in the Atlanta Summer Olympics 1996.
The 2014 Winter Olympics were held in Sochi.
Despite the fact that it has participated just six times in the Summer Olympics, Russian athletes won 428 medals. This is the second largest after the US.
