Education and culture: The Macedonian education system consists of four stages: preschool, elementary, secondary and higher education. There are 5 state higher education institutions and 460 secondary schools in the Macedonian education system.
Macedonia has a rich history, art, architecture, poetry and music tradition. Many cultural festivals are held in Macedonia: Ohrid classical music and drama festival, International Camera Festival, Youth Theater Festival and Skopje Jazz Festival.
Greek and Turkish cuisine have greatly influenced Macedonian cuisine. The Skopje salad is known for its taste.
Sports: In Macedonia, the most famous sports are football and handball.
In summer, Ohrid swimming marathon is held.
Macedonia first took part in the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics.
There is only one bronze medal in the country's asset. Wrestler Magomed Ibragimov won the Sydney Summer Olympic Games.
Participants of the Olympic Culture and Education Program are becoming active with each day.
The students of School № 17 have organised an open lesson dedicated to the Republic of North Macedonia. During the English class, they made a special presentation about North Macedonia and later prepared handicrafts referring to the country mentioned above.
