Education and culture: In Great Britain, every constituent country has its own education system. 38% of the UK population has a university or college degree. William Shakespeare, one of the greatest figures in world literature, is British. Geoffrey Chaucer, Thomas More, John Milton, Daniel Defoe, Mary Shelley, Lewis Carroll, Bronte sisters, George Eliot, Herbert Wells, Oscar Wilde, Robert Louis Stevenson, James Joyce and many others who have not been listed, were also born in the UK. William Blake, John Constable, Samuel Palmer and William Turner are the most famous painters from this country.
Sports: Great Britain is one of the three countries that has participated in all Olympic Games. The 1908 and 2012 Summer Olympics were held in London. This country has won most of the gold medals in athletics, rowing, and cycling. The total number of medals is 883, including 274 gold, 299 silver, and 310 bronze.
Teachers and students of the School-Lyceum № 6 named after Tofig Ismayilov have also begun contributing to OCEP 2019.
An instructive lesson on the topic of 'King or Parliament in England' was held at the School. Students have researched the history of England and shared their knowledge on this subject.
The students, who made presentations and handicrafts, tried to take an active part in the lesson and demonstrate their abilities.
